Smugglers 2010 is part of the Bournemouth Bi-Centenary celebrations during the Summer and Autumn of 2010. It is an inclusive heritage project which seeks to involve children and young people throughout the Borough, both through their in-school projects and independently.

At a local level Smugglers 2010 is promoting community cohesion in local school communities. Pupils and stakeholders of the school's wider community are working together to generate a fun and and creative treasure trail using the school's heritage and history.

At a town wide level, Smugglers 2010 has already brought together school and local communities in the Big Bournemouth Treasure Trail. This was based on the Borough Crest, with a further series of events throughout the summer themed around the town's smuggling past of two centuries ago, and an exciting Smugglers, Treasure and Pirate celebration in the Autumn.
